Padel court numbers in the UK have roughly doubled every two years since 2020. There are now over 1,000 courts across the country. Finding one near you is easier than it was, but the tools for doing it are scattered. Here's where to look.
The fastest ways to find courts
Padel Map (padelmap.co.uk)
The most comprehensive independent database of padel courts in the UK. Search by postcode, filter by indoor/outdoor, and see opening hours. Updated regularly by the community. This is the first place to check.
LTA Club Finder
The LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) oversees padel development in the UK and maintains a directory of affiliated clubs at lta.org.uk. Not every independent padel operator is listed here, but all LTA-affiliated venues are, and those tend to be the most established facilities.
Google Maps
Search "padel courts near me" or "padel club [your town]". Most operational clubs have a Google Business profile. The results are usually accurate within a few months of a new club opening.
PlayHQ and Clubspark
Several clubs use these booking platforms to manage court reservations. Searching either platform for padel will surface clubs that use them — though not all clubs do.
Courts by region

Manchester and the North West — strong padel community, multiple dedicated clubs, good court availability. Padel Club Manchester, Trafford Padel, and several health club operators have installed courts.

Bristol and the South West — smaller scene but active community. A few dedicated venues plus racket clubs that have converted courts.
Scotland — Edinburgh and Glasgow both have padel clubs, though choice is more limited than English cities. Growing steadily.
Health club chains with padel courts
Several major operators have been rolling out padel courts across their estate:

Public courts
A growing number of councils have installed free or subsidised padel courts in public parks. London boroughs have been the most active — Hackney, Southwark, and Lambeth have all added public courts. Check your council's leisure pages or local Facebook groups for the most current information. These fill up fast, especially on evenings and weekends.
When you can't find a court nearby
If you're more than 30–40 minutes from the nearest court, it's worth checking if your local tennis club or leisure centre has plans to add padel. Many have applied for Sport England funding and are 12–18 months away from opening. The LTA has a padel development contact for clubs considering adding courts — they'll often share a map of planned installations.
Alternatively, portable padel setups exist for large outdoor spaces. A handful of organisations hire these for pop-up events. Worth searching locally if you want to introduce padel to your area before a permanent court arrives.
Booking and playing
