The number refers to how many carbon filaments are bundled into each strand, or tow, of the weave. 3K is roughly 3,000 filaments, 12K about 12,000, 18K around 18,000.

It is not a quality ranking. 3K is softer and more forgiving. 18K is stiffer and suits advanced players with fast swings. 12K sits between them and is the grade most tour-level frames use, which is why it became the standard for serious padel. Longer version in our carbon grades guide.

3K has fewer, thicker filaments per strand. The weave is more flexible, the face feels softer on impact and the ball sits on the string bed fractionally longer, which many players read as control.

12K packs more filaments into each strand. The face is stiffer and transfers energy more efficiently, so shots come off cleaner and faster. It rewards good contact and is less forgiving of sloppy contact.

365 g with an even balance point. That sits in the middle of the normal range, where most players are comfortable between 355 g and 375 g. Light enough to swing freely, heavy enough to stay stable against a hard ball.

If you have elbow trouble or a long tennis swing, something lighter around 340 g may suit you better, and we would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong racket.

Teardrop, across all three models. It is the middle ground between round, which is the most forgiving, and diamond, which delivers power on the smash but punishes everything else. Teardrop is what most beginners and improving players should be looking at.

Medium EVA foam. Firmer than soft EVA, so it gives more feedback and holds its feel over a longer session, without being as unforgiving as a hard core.

The only difference is the finish. Pick the one you want to be seen carrying.

Whichever you like the look of, because they play identically. The only practical consideration is that Ice White shows court dust and wall scuffs sooner than the darker two. That is cosmetic, not structural, and a head protector takes most of the frame contact that causes it.

Yes, with one caveat worth being honest about. The teardrop head and medium core are forgiving, and 365 g suits most people learning.

But carbon is stiffer than fibreglass, which is what most entry-level rackets use. It rewards clean contact and gives less help on off-centre hits. If you have played a racket sport before you will get on with it immediately. If you have genuinely never held a racket, a softer fibreglass face may serve you better for a few months.

You are giving up some things and not others. The carbon face is the same material grade found in £150 to £300 frames. The core foam is the same family.

What you get at £200 is tighter manufacturing tolerances, better vibration damping and quality control that catches bad frames before they ship, so one racket feels more identical to the last. Below roughly a 3.5 level, that difference is not what is costing you points. Your positioning is.

On materials, closely. Those brands use 12K carbon in frames priced between £150 and £300.

On everything else, they are ahead of us and we are not going to pretend otherwise. They have years of manufacturing refinement, warranty networks, pro feedback loops and a resale market. We are a young company selling direct, which is the entire reason the same carbon grade costs £79.95 here. No distributor, no retail margin, no tour sponsorships.

It depends what you want. The adidas Drive is the safest buy if brand backing matters to you. The Kuikma PR React Soft at 342 g is the pick if you need something light for elbow reasons. Ours is the most racket for the money if you want a full 12K carbon face and are willing to buy from a smaller brand.

14 days from delivery. The item needs to be in original condition and packaging with tags attached. Contact us with your order number and we will send instructions.

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the item. Return postage is on you unless the item arrived damaged or faulty, in which case it is on us.

Not in person. We sell online only, which is a large part of why the price is what it is. The 14-day return window is there to do that job instead: play with it, and if it is not for you, send it back.
