How We Build
Built by players. Tested on court. Shipped direct.
We started 12K Padel because we kept paying £200+ for rackets that used the same materials we could source ourselves. So we cut the middlemen and built something better: a racket made from 12K carbon, tested relentlessly, and sold at a fair price.
Here’s how each racket goes from raw material to your court bag.
1. Material selection
Every 12K Padel racket starts with 12K carbon fibre. 12,000 filaments per tow, tightly woven for maximum energy return and durability. We don’t use hybrid blends, filler materials, or lower grade carbon mixed in to reduce cost. The carbon is sourced from specialist suppliers who provide the same grade used in aerospace and high performance sports equipment.
2. Mould and shape engineering
We offer three distinct models, each with its own mould profile designed for a different style of play:
- Ice White is shaped for precision. A slightly smaller sweet spot with a responsive face that rewards clean technique and controlled placement.
- Midnight Black is the all rounder. Balanced weight distribution and a medium sweet spot that works for players who switch between attack and defence.
- Shark Blue is built for speed and aggressive power. A wider head profile that generates more force on overhead smashes and flat drives.
3. Layup and curing
The carbon sheets are hand laid into the mould in multiple layers. The orientation and angle of each layer affects stiffness, flex, and vibration absorption. Once laid, the mould is sealed and the racket is cured under controlled heat and pressure. This process compresses the fibre layers and hardens the resin, creating a single solid structure with no air pockets or weak points.
4. Finishing
After curing, each racket is sanded, drilled, and fitted with a grip. The surface gets a matte finish coat. We keep the branding minimal on purpose. No oversized logos, no neon graphics, no sticker sheets. The racket does the talking.
5. Testing
Every batch is play tested across different court surfaces and conditions before it ships. We check weight consistency, balance point, face responsiveness, and grip alignment. If something feels off, the batch doesn’t go out.
6. Direct to you
We don’t sell through retailers, distributors, or marketplaces. Every order ships from us, direct to your door. No retail margin. No distributor cut. That’s how a racket made from the same 12K carbon as a £250 Nox or Adidas ends up costing £79.95.
Free UK delivery on orders over £70. That means every racket ships free.
