Padel Racket FAQ: Your Questions Answered
Answers to the questions we get asked most often about padel rackets, carbon fibre, delivery and the 12K range.
About 12K Carbon Fibre
What does 12K carbon fibre mean?
12K refers to the number of carbon filaments per tow in the woven fabric — 12,000 filaments. More filaments means a tighter, denser weave. Compared to 3K carbon, 12K is stiffer, more consistent across the face, and transfers energy more directly. It is the construction used by professional-level rackets — and by every racket in the 12K Padel range.
What is the difference between 12K and 3K carbon?
3K carbon has 3,000 filaments per tow — a looser weave. 12K has 12,000, creating a denser, stiffer face. In practice: more consistent sweet spot, better energy transfer, more predictable feel. Most budget padel rackets marketed as carbon use 3K. The 12K Padel range uses full 12K throughout at £79.95.
About the Rackets
What weight are 12K Padel rackets?
Balanced mid-weight — approximately 355–375g. The sweet spot for most club players. Free-swinging without sacrificing power.
What head shape do they use?
Teardrop. Sweet spot sits mid-frame, more forgiving than a diamond head on off-centre hits. Designed for developing club players who want consistency, not just peak power potential.
What core material?
Medium-density EVA foam. Firm, responsive, consistent across temperatures. The standard across professional and club padel rackets.
Are they good for beginners?
Yes. Teardrop head, balanced weight, medium EVA — all chosen so the racket works with you while you are developing technique. Full 12K carbon at £79.95. You do not need to spend £150+ to get professional construction.
